Gravity Anomaly Modeling - Cylinder

This JavaScript script allows the user to display a gravity dataset, and then vary geological parameters in order to model the dimensions and physical properties of a possible cylinder of more or less dense material that may have produced the anomaly observed in the data.

You can vary the depth and x-coordinate of the cylinder, its radius, and the density contrast between the surrounding earth and the cylinder. If the data are biased above the y = 0 axis, use the bias control to shift the theoretical curve up or down. The position of the cylinder is changed by dragging the anomaly slider with the mouse or touch. All other parameters are changed via the slider bars in the left panel and keyboard arrow keys.
