Gravity Anomaly Modeling - Sphere

This JavaScript script allows the user to display a gravity dataset, and then vary geological parameters in order to model the dimensions and physical properties of a possible sphere of more or less dense material that may have produced the anomaly observed in the data.

You can vary the depth and x-coordinate of the sphere, its radius, and the density contrast between the surrounding earth and the sphere. If the data are biased above the y = 0 axis, use the bias control to shift the theoretical curve up or down. The position of the cylinder is changed by dragging the cylinder slider with the mouse or touch. All other parameters are changed via the slider bars and arrow controls in the left panel.
